Built in the 16th century, Fort S. Filipe has been a national monument since 1933.

With an impressive panoramic view over Setúbal and the bay of the river Sado, the Fort of S. Filipe is open to visitors, where, in addition to being able to admire the landscape, they can enjoy a comfortable terrace, a cafeteria service -bar and also useful as a tourist information office.
