ALTO DO FORMOSINHO (GEODESIC LANDMARK/PANORAMIC VIEW)

Alto do Formosinho is the highest point of the Arrábida Mountain Ridge, at 501 metres high, identified by a geodesic landmark. The trail, with a high level of difficulty is split into two parts: the Northern slope of the mountain (upwards) and the Southern slope (downwards). This route is quite similar to mountaineering conditions, due to the high inclination of the ground. When you get to the top you will see an amazing and unique view over the Southern margin of Lisbon, Tagus River, Azeitão, Palmela, Cape Espichel, Cape Roca, Natural Park of Arrábida and the Atlantic Ocean.
