With regional scope, the Setúbal Peninsula Wine Route aims to promote wine tourism and enhance the region’s wines. It integrates adherent wineries in tourist itineraries, with several visit proposals that include, in addition to guided tours in the cellars, wine tastings and courses, wine tourism cruises or concerts in the cellars. The Setúbal Peninsula Wine Route adds a calendar of regular wine experiences throughout the year.

At the heart of the village of Palmela, is the Mother House of the Wine Route, seat of the Setúbal Peninsula Wine Route. An old wine cellar reconverted into a wine tourism information stand and booking department for guided visits to wine cellars. The Mother House of the Wine Route offers also a variety of regional quality products, such as a diversity of pastries and cakes, fruit jams, sheep butter, Azeitão cheese, honey, olive oil, chocolates and artisanal ice cream.
