On 8 June 2019, the city of Setubal was the stage for the third stage of FINA Marathon Swim World Series 2019. The challenge of swimming in open water, considered to be one of the most important events of the international swimming competitions took place in the Urban Park of Albarquel and had the support of the Setubal City Hall and Associação Baía de Setúbal.
