CASA BOCAGE

Casa Bocage is a house museum dedicated to Manuel Maria Barbosa du Bocage and also the place where the poet from Setúbal was born, in 1765. In 1888, it was bought by Viscount Edmond Bartissol, hence the name of the street, who later on offered the building to the City Hall of Setúbal.

Currently, it has a specialised library related to the life and work of the poet. Its space is used as a gallery for temporary exhibitions and it hosts the Américo Ribeiro Municipal Photography Archives.
