Roasted fish is one of the greatest ex-libris of the Setubal region. Directly from the Setubal and Sesimbra fish auctions, it is characterized by its unique freshness. Sardines, mackerels, red mullets, Lusitanian toadfish, “alcorrazes”, spotted dogfish, Atlantic pomfret, European conger, stingray or common torpedo are examples of typical fishes of the Sado coast. Traditionally fish is served with boiled potato, salad and in some cases “migas”.
